Collaboration · Brand Builder field guide

Keep a project answer from dying in somebody’s text messages.

The electrician texts the project manager. The architect never sees the answer. Two weeks later, the drawing still uses the old assumption. Restaurant construction project messaging should bring the right people into the conversation and move the final answer back to the project record.

The mess this fixes

Where this breaks in real life

Private texts and forwarded emails create different versions of the same conversation. A person gets left out, an attachment loses its location, and nobody knows which reply became the decision the team is supposed to follow.

The fix

What to change

Use the shared message path for the question and the people who must answer it. When the answer changes a file, date, or task, update that item on the restaurant project. The conversation can explain the decision, but it should not become the only place the decision exists.

Do it in this order

  1. 01

    Ask on the restaurant

Post the utility, drawing, access, or schedule question where the project team can see it.

  2. 02

Get the owner into the thread

Concept Services routes the question to the person who can answer or deliver the missing item.

  3. 03

    Change the actual work

When the answer lands, update the file, stage, note, or next action it affects.

What should be easier afterward

  • The architect sees the electrician's answer
  • A decision is not trapped in one person's text messages
  • The drawing or next action changes when the conversation changes the work

Questions people ask before using it

Should every decision stay only in messages?

No. Important outcomes should update the durable project record, such as the current file, stage, owner, note, or next action.

Can unauthenticated visitors send project messages?

No. Project messaging belongs to the signed-in workspace; public visitors use the separate sales or contact path.
