Site truth · Brand Builder field guide
Catch foodservice drawing conflicts before pricing or construction.
The architect moved a wall. The kitchen plan did not move with it. The equipment schedule still shows the old clearances, and MEP is pricing yesterday’s layout. Foodservice drawing coordination keeps the kitchen file beside the architectural, utility, and field information it must agree with.
The mess this fixes
Where this breaks in real life
Each discipline can produce a correct drawing that fails when the sets are placed together. A shifted wall blocks equipment service access. A sink moves without the plumbing update. A hood size changes after electrical and mechanical work have already been discussed.

The fix
What to change
Review the current foodservice plan against the latest architectural and field package. Name the conflict, assign the person who must answer it, and attach the revised file to the same restaurant stage so every reviewer returns to the same set.
Do it in this order
- 01
Put the sets side by side
Open the kitchen plan with the architectural plan, MEP information, equipment list, and owner criteria.
- 02
Mark the conflict
Name the wall, drain, hood, clearance, or utility point that does not agree.
- 03
Replace the bad set
Upload the corrected drawing with a revision note before pricing or field work continues.
What should be easier afterward
- The old wall location does not survive into the kitchen plan
- MEP prices the same equipment and utility assumptions as foodservice
- The GC opens the corrected set instead of yesterday's attachment

Questions people ask before using it
Are foodservice drawings the full architectural set?
No. They are a specialist portion of the project. The architect and engineering disciplines remain responsible for their respective construction documents and coordination.
Does Brand Builder perform clash detection?
No automated clash-detection claim is made. It keeps the relevant files and review context together so qualified parties can coordinate them.
